I still refuse to call it X...
This is just a blog where I ramble about twitter... How I found a community there, enjoying it, thriving, until twitter decided that my account is showing "inauthentic behavior" and suspended my account not long time ago... So, a lot of rant are expected here because fuck you twitter.
A month ago, I created a fan account, actually using an old empty account I made in December 2025. Yes, I'm back to the twitter fandom space now with my shiny brand new hyperfixations, Project Hail Mary and Ryan Gosling. Finding mutuals, both locals and inters, because I mostly tweet in English maybe a little bit of Indonesian. Just expanding my target audience u kno, the more the merrier.
Not only yap with the void, like what I did with my private account before I made this, I do interact with a lot of cool people in the fandom. Fanartists, editors, writers, even roleplay accounts everyone is here!
This, is of course not my first time in the field. Previously I had another fan accounts for different fandoms. Years ago actually. I stopped in 2022 i think? and then back in 2026. So navigating around is not really a problem.
I had so many moots and we interact a lot sometimes. Mostly goofing around, shipping talk, and whatever people would do with a fan account. Nothing much nothing less.
Honestly it's a pretty peaceful timeline. Yeah some drama slip in sometimes but I just ignore it and only talk about it in the discord server I joined. PHM fandom server ofc.
Twitter is just one of many where fandom could grow and connect with each other, and this one social media is really good at it. And the algorithm? I hate to admit but it's really good at recommending stuff I am into. Once I liked and retweeted fanarts and any tweets really, related to Project Hail Mary and Ryan Gosling, even Bloodymary ship, the for you page suddenly FULL of them all. I discovered a lot of talented artists and writers, so many inspiration and idea, memes, edits, et cetera.
With Algo's help, I got 60+ followers/moots in only a month, they all curated of course I don't just follow people around and let a random ass bot follow me. They all are real people, from many parts of the world. Different timezones, different place, all united because of this film about a friendship of a man with his alien rock friend.
It's fun, I'm so amaze amaze amaze by this fandom...
Okay first, Instagram. It's alright, so many amazing creators are there. I don't have an Instagram fan account, but fandom space there is just as huge, if not bigger. The minus is, it's hard to encounter smaller account who just want to talk about their interests and repost stuff they liked. It's a great place for creators, but not really for someone who just want to interact with fellow PHM enjoyer, or whatever fandom they into.
Tiktok? Kinda same with Instagram. I gotta mention this, they got some BANGER of edits right there. Of course for a short form content focused social media like Tiktok, they're gonna push on that kind of content there. I don't have any Tiktok account tho. But it seems like their algorithm really knows their user really well, TOO well in fact...
Facebook? idk I was there just the shitposts. Tumblr? seems like a pretty tame place but last time I used Tumblr was like, when I was a kid and got really into Transformers and shi... I don't really remember...
For real tho, compared from my previous time having fan account, this one is the most fitting to me. It's unlike kpop where everyone is always talking about voting and making trends, stuff like that. It feels like a chore. Fanwar everywhere, drama and shit ton of drama. At some point being a fan became an unpaid job. That's why I got worn out. I can't love stuff that has a fandom like that... It's not just kpop but it always kpop for some reason.
Okay I don't want to talk shit about the kpop fandom here no. I had enough of it. Let's just talk about PHM fandom, Ryan Gosling fandom or whatever I'm into. Even Transformers yeah somehow I managed to merge these distinct interests into one. I've created silly photoshop of Ryland Grace with Soundwave in one frame and my moots are pretty chill about it. Some even liked it lol I didn't expect that...
And ships! a lotta ships! We can't talk about PHM ships without talking about Bloodymary, where ppl ship Ryland Grace and Simon from Iron Lung. Never, EVER in my life I thought about shipping Ryan Gosling's character with Markiplier's. But they works, everyone makes it works. Both are getting thrown into a suicide mission to save their respective world. Both their suns are dying, both getting into space and both has their own alien buddies... heh... sure thing that Simon gets along with the eel...
Honorable mentions, RGCU (Ryan Goslings Cinematic Universe) Ships! Personal favorite:
This one isn't a ship, but I LOVE coltlandgentry so much, where Colt and Ryland are twins, and Courtland a.k.a Six as their brother...
Again, about the algorithm. I love it, I hate it. I still stand with my word that I hate social media in general. But I can't just let them go. Everyone is here, everyone connects here. Not having a social media accounts is just, it feels like I'm isolated from the world. I hate the fact that everyone is into it. I can't do anything about it.
Especially with Twitter, not only in fandom space, I also had a private account where I just ramble about my day or retweet some yaoi. I am stuck. I CAN get out but I DON'T want to. It's just, hard okay...
I hate where Twitter is directed to now. Those AI Grok slop Elon forced us to use. Paid blue check-mark and competitive engagement farms. I'm not in that side of the site tho, but of course they'll always find a way to get into my trained, well-curated for you page. They own the algorithm not me.
I hate how they're using my interest to get me addicted to the site. What many people called FOMO is really getting into me. It has become my instinct to open Twitter when I just woke up. That's bad bad bad I know. And it's my own responsibility to limit my screen-time.
Yeah, fuck you for suspending my beloved fan account, and even my priv account that I've been using for a LONG time. What kind of AI are you using dude but whatever it is, It's STUPID.
I've sent an appeal to them and it may take weeks even months for respond so.. I guess It's a sign for me to stop. But man it's painful to see... I got so many good friends there. And now I just got cut off out of nowhere, thanks "X".
I've considered to move to Tumblr, it's been a while, I forgot how to do anything there. But maybe I ain't gon even try. Just for curiousity sake... Here's my new tumblr page btw heh...
I'm glad that I made that account, I'm glad to be there. I just hate the platform so much. I wish we all could migrate to better place... Wherever it is...
Twitter, is a HUGE place for any fandom. Aside from the other giants like Instagram and Tiktok ofc. But compare to them, Twitter is like where everyone could have a small talk with each other, It's easier to be close here than the other two I mentioned. But man Tiktok got some crazy edits...
It's fascinating to see a fandom to grow there. I like meeting my people. Sharing my silly crossover, reading fanfics, supporting fanartists,
Yeah I think that's all for now, about fandom, fan accounts, twitter, and my suspended fan account (dang it)...
At last, another W for my personal site, they'll never nuke my own page. Even if one day neocities got nuked, I could reupload this page in another hosting services...
- dz, still pissed of... PLEASE TWITTER BRING BACK MY ACCOUNTS!!!-
